Meet Michael Ayre

Michael Ayre is a Colorado-based real estate advisor with a rare blend of brokerage leadership, development expertise, and lifestyle-driven market insight. Raised in Michigan, Michael developed an early passion for the outdoors and skiing—an influence that brought him west in 1996 to build his life in the Colorado mountains.

Before entering real estate, Michael launched and operated multiple successful restaurant and business ventures, developing a foundation in hospitality, entrepreneurship, and high-touch client service. His real estate career began in 1999 through personal investment, evolving into decades of hands-on experience in residential sales, luxury construction, and new development. He has built custom mountain homes, completed high-end renovations, and served as both owner’s representative and listing broker on new construction projects ranging from boutique offerings to larger developments of up to 24 residences.

Michael began selling residential real estate full-time in 2003 and later founded his own brokerage in 2011, where he built and led a team of seven agents. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in more than 1,000 real estate transactions, bringing strategic guidance, disciplined execution, and strong negotiation skills to every client relationship.

Michael met his wife in Winter Park in 2001, and together they are raising their two teenage daughters. Outside of real estate, he is an avid skier, mountain and road cyclist, and outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, surfing, great food, and continuing his education in wine and travel. For Michael, real estate is never just about property—it’s about lifestyle, craftsmanship, and helping clients find a home that aligns with how they live, work, and play.
